Darling Harbour is an amazing entertainment
area, it has wonderful sculpted gardens
and walkways that lead you past beautiful
water features and on to the various venues
around the harbour, it is a major tourist
destination as it has: The Chinese Gardens,
The Maritime Museum, IMAX theatre, Harbourside
Shopping Centre, Sydney Convention &
Exhibition Centre plus numerous restuarants,
cafes & pubs and Star City Casino.
A
monorail service runs from Sydney, Central
Business District to Darling Harbour regulary.
It makes stops at points around the harbour
and is a great way to get a birds eye view
before walking around. Buses & Water
taxi's can also be cuaght to and from Darling
Harbour.
Entertainment is always happening around
Darling Harbour... community bands will
often play live music, there are often car,
motorbike & boat shows, trade conventions.
Cockle bay which is on the city side of
the harbour is also a great place to go
at night for drinks. Whilst the actual gardens
& play equipment is a traquil place
to relax or let kids play during the day.
